Family protection life cover

There are various ways of providing for your family in the event of your death. All of the plans below are available on a single or joint life basis, from as little as £5 a month - a small price to pay for the reassurance of knowing that, if the worst happens, your family could pay off certain liabilities and/or be able to maintain a certain standard of living.

The plans have no cash-in value as their design is limited to protecting your family.

Level term life assurance

Level term assurance is designed to pay out a lump sum in the event of your death during the term of the plan. It can protect your family by repaying any fixed debts you may have, and/or to provide a lump sum to generate an income.

Decreasing term life assurance

Decreasing term assurance is designed to pay out a lump sum in the event of your death during the term of the plan. It is primarily used to cover a reducing liability, such as a mortgage debt.

Level and decreasing term assurance plans can be used for both personal and business protection needs.

Family income benefit plans

Family income benefit plans are designed to help protect your family from financial hardship by providing a guaranteed monthly income for the remainder of the policy term if you die during the policy term.

For even greater protection for you and your family, you could consider adding a critical illness plan to help cover expenses if you become seriously ill.

Critical Illness plans

Our Critical Illness Protection Plan can help you and your family cover the costs that may result from a serious illness - including medical expenses, moving house and protecting your business.

These fixed term plans are designed to pay out a lump sum if you are diagnosed with an illness specified in your policy - such as heart attacks, strokes and some cancers - as long as you are covered by the policy conditions and satisfy claim procedures. They have no cash-in value and you can choose between single or joint life protection.

Depending on your needs, we can offer premiums that are either subject to periodic review or guaranteed to remain the same throughout the term. The Critical Illness Protection Plan can act as a standalone policy, or you can add it to other policies for even greater protection.
