Community activity
We are proud to be part of Manx life and, as well as providing banking services and being one of the Island's largest employers, we are delighted to support a range of community projects and activities.
For example, we provide financial and volunteer support to Junior Achievement, a Manx-registered charity that helps young people develop their life skills in preparation for entering the workplace. We also take part in the annual 'Race the Sun' event to raise funds for the Isle of Man Children's Centre.
We are delighted to sponsor the 2011 Isle of Man Common Wealth Youth Games. The £20,000 sponsorship will help stage the biggest multi-sport event that has ever been held in the Isle of Man.
The games, taking place from 7 to 13 September 2011, will be hosted at various sporting venues across the Island staging rugby 7's, boxing, athletics, cycling, gymnastics, swimming and badminton for over 1000 competitors from around the Commonwealth.
This year Barclays Wealth has also supported the Groudle Glen Railway, Sport Relief Mile, The Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) and BallaAfrica.
