Protect and grow your wealth through investments

We do everything we can to provide some of the highest levels of security and stability for your cash and assets.

As your personal circumstances change, such as if you were to move country or change jobs, we can adjust your investment portfolio to reflect this.

Protecting your assets

You can benefit from:

  • History and experience. Barclays Bank has been helping clients manage their money for 300 years. Barclays manages client assets of £164 billion, as at 31 December 2011.
  • The reassurance of carefully chosen jurisdictions. We will place your funds in jurisdictions that are widely regarded as politically and economically stable, such as London or the Isle of Man.
  • Wealth protection and financial planning. We can structure your assets to help maximise returns, growth and tax efficiency1.
  • Easy access to your portfolio. With telephone and online banking, you can view your funds whenever and wherever you choose2.
  • Mail-holding service. If you prefer, we can hold correspondence for you at your nearest branch of Barclays for you to collect, rather than sending it to your address.
  • The reassurance of very good independent ratings. Barclays Bank PLC is rated "A+" by Standard and Poors, and "Aa3" by Moody's.
  • Help and advice when and where you need it. You can get a full face-to-face service in London and, in many cases, it's possible to arrange for an International Investment Adviser to visit you in your home country.
  • Help with managing risk. Our team of experts can help you to understand and manage the different forms of risk that you might need to consider.
  • An honest view. Investment funds should be viewed as a medium- to long-term commitment, that is five years or more, and our structured products range between three and six years. The value and any income from them can go down as well as up. You might get back less than you originally invested.

You have sole responsibility for the management of your tax and legal affairs, including making any applicable filings and payments and complying with any applicable laws and regulations. We have not provided and will not provide you with tax or legal advice and recommend that you obtain your own independent tax and legal advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
