Barclays Wealth has announced its ongoing support for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
Birmingham: To coincide with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra's (CBSO) season finale, Barclays Wealth has announced its ongoing support of the organisation, with a new three-year partnership agreement.
The new partnership will focus on supporting the CBSO's national and international touring programme and help to realise its strategy of expanding the repertoire, educating young musicians and reaching more people through performances and recordings.
The agreement was officially announced at the CBSO's season finale concert held on Friday 29 July at Symphony Hall Birmingham, which was conducted by acclaimed CBSO Music Director Andris Nelsons, and featured guest violinist, Midori and the CBSO Chorus.
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Chief Executive, Stephen Maddock commented on the partnership, "We have enjoyed a successful partnership with Barclays Wealth over the last three years, including their support for the CBSO Boys' Choir programme, which has been recognised nationally as an outstanding example of good practice.
"We are grateful to Barclays Wealth for renewing their partnership agreement and look forward to working with them over the next three years on supporting our national and international touring programme."
Ben Gulliford, Regional Centre Head for Barclays Wealth Birmingham, added, "The night was a fantastic success, with the CBSO season closing on a high note. Barclays Wealth has a strong track record of sponsoring the arts across the regions of the UK and we are delighted to be in partnership with the CBSO as it continues to bring wonderful cultural experiences to Birmingham, the UK and international audiences."
