Paul Brennan and Lewis Watts join high net worth business within UK & Ireland Private Bank
Barclays Wealth, a leading global wealth manager and the UK's largest, has today announced two more senior banker appointments to its High Net Worth business within the UK & Ireland Private Bank.
Both Directors, Paul Brennan and Lewis Watts will be based in London and will join over the course of the next two months.
Mr Brennan joins from real estate investment advisor Roundstone Capital LLP, where he was founding Director, having previously worked at Develica Management and Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management arm.
Mr Watts joins from SG Hambros Bank & Trust, where for the last 12 years he sourced and managed entrepreneurial clients, most recently having held the position of Head of UK Private Banking. He previously worked in private banking at Rabobank.
In addition to the these two appointments, Mark Brown joins the London team from Barclays Wealth Americas, where he has been a Director in the San Francisco office since June 2009. He previously worked at Barclays Capital, which he joined in 2002, and he brings with him almost thirty years of financial markets experience.
Barclays Wealth has committed an additional £350m to a five-year investment programme, a third of which is ear-marked for doubling the number of client-facing bankers globally. Earlier this month the UK & Ireland Private Bank announced 14 new client-facing hires to its London & South East team.
Commenting on the appointments, Rory Gilbert, Managing Director and Head of High Net Worth, UK & Ireland Private Bank at Barclays Wealth, said: "Mark, Paul and Lewis bring a great deal of valuable experience and we are delighted to welcome them to our High Net Worth team. The continuing expansion of this division is an important step towards realising our growth ambitions within the High Net Worth space as we build on our position as the largest UK wealth manager."
