Barclays Wealth announces a new annual partnership with the Museum of Liverpool

Barclays Wealth has announced a new annual partnership with the Museum of Liverpool, signifying its commitment to the local community and visitors to the region through arts and culture.

Barclays Wealth will be the first organisation to sponsor an exhibition in the new museum, which will open on 19 July. The exhibition 'East Meets West: The Story of Shanghai and Liverpool' will explore the fascinating relationship between Liverpool and Shanghai, within the Global City Gallery, one of the first galleries to open.

The Chair of National Museums Liverpool is Professor Phil Redmond CBE, the well known television screen writer and producer. Phil is an advocate for supporting and developing museums for the future.

Phil Redmond CBE and Chair said: "We are extremely pleased that sponsorship from Barclays Wealth recognises the importance of arts and culture, making it accessible to all. As both a benefactor and Chair of National Museums Liverpool, I also recognise that philanthropy is as much sound business as it is about charitable giving".
