Barclays Wealth Manchester marks team expansion with new office move

Barclays Wealth's Manchester office completes its relocation within the Spinningfields development
Manchester: The continued growth of Barclays Wealth's Manchester office was reinforced today (Monday 22nd August) when the team completed its relocation to new offices within the Spinningfields development.
The move marks the ongoing success of Barclays Wealth in Manchester this year. The team is now made up of over 45 employees, following a number of new hires - including five Private Bankers and support staff - as part of an ongoing recruitment drive. Two graduates will also be joining the firm in t he autumn, as part of Barclays Wealth's national graduate recruitment programme.
The new premises - located at 3 Hardman Street, Spinningfields - will see Barclays Wealth work alongside Barclays Corporate and Barclays Capital, in order to offer their clients the full range of personal, professional, lending, investment and financial planning advice. In addition to its core wealth management services, Barclays Wealth's Manchester office specialises in areas of RND, sports professionals and wealth advisory services.
Barclays Wealth Manchester has witnessed a large increase in business in recent months as wealth has undergone a substantial growth in the region. Since the opening of the Manchester office in 2006, assets under management have steadily grown to around £2bn across the North West.
The success of the office correlates with figures published in Barclays Wealth's 2011 Wealth Map, which revealed that the number of millionaires in the North West has increased by 16 per cent since 2008, from 55,000 to 64,000 people.
