Barclays Wealth's UK&IPB Advisory Committee hires Stuart Counsell

Barclays Wealth, a leading global wealth manager, today announces the appointment of Stuart Counsell to the UK & Ireland Private Bank (UK&IPB) Advisory Committee.

The UK&IPB Advisory Committee, chaired by Sir Nigel Rudd, comprises experienced business people who help promote, introduce and win business for Barclays Wealth. Members of the Board include Ffion Hague; Sir Christopher Howes; Christopher Mathias; Derek Zissman, Mark Kibblewhite and Jack Perry.

As well as supporting existing relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and speaking at events, the Advisory Committee members provide advice on key business issues and work to raise interest in and awareness of Barclays Wealth through their existing networks.

Stuart will focus on promoting and raising the profile of Barclays Wealth in the North of the UK, working closely with Andy Houston, Head of Regions, and his leadership team. Stuart built his career as a Chartered Accountant in the Leeds office of Deloitte and later ran all 17 Deloitte offices outside of London. Latterly he sat on the Deloitte LLP Executive Committee as the Managing Partner in charge of Finance & Legal for the UK at Deloitte.
