Barclays Wealth opens new office in Priory Place, Chelmsford

Chelmsford: Barclays Wealth announces today that it has opened a new office in Chelmsford, Essex, signalling its continued growth throughout the South East.

The new office - which is the fourth opened by Barclays Wealth in the South East in the second half of this year - sees Barclays Wealth and Barclays Corporate co-locate, enabling the growing team of private bankers and wealth advisors to offer a depth of expertise to clients.

The office - which is located at Priory Place, New London Road, Chelmsford - will be headed up by Paul Field, Area Director of Barclays Wealth Kent, East Sussex and Essex.

Paul Field commented: "The opening of this office demonstrates our belief in growth across the South East. Over the past year, we have steadily built up a team, covering Essex, Kent and Sussex, which means that we can provide our clients with local knowledge and outstanding expertise."

According to independent research commissioned by Barclays Wealth, the population of wealthy individuals residing in the region - which is currently 287,000 - is predicted to grow by 35 per cent from now to 2020¹.
