Barclays Wealth appoints Kevin Shone to its UHNW & Family Offices team

Barclays Wealth, a leading global wealth manager, today announces the appointment of Kevin Shone as a Managing Director in the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) & Family Offices team.

Based in Manchester, Kevin will be responsible for building out the UHNW book regionally. He will report to Stefanie Drews, Head of UHNW and Family Offices and Andrew Houston, Managing Director, Midlands, North, Wales & West in UK & Ireland Private Bank (UK&IPB).

Kevin joins us from Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management where he worked as a Managing Director in London and the UK regions since 2008. In this position he focused on key account clients with liquid assets of £500m to £1bn. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was a Principal Client Partner (PCP) at Coutts & Co where he worked for 17 years. As one of four PCP's globally, he was latterly based in Manchester with a focus on UHNW clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Stefanie Drews said:

"Kevin brings with him extensive experience in the wealth management industry advising UHNW clients across the UK. In his new role, Kevin will work closely with Andrew Houston and the regional HNW Bankers to maximise the opportunities that exist outside of London. His appointment is a strong indication of our commitment to building out the UK regions and growing the Ultra proposition outside of London."

This appointment is the latest of a number of senior additions to the UHNW team. The most recent hire includes Amaury Hendrickx as Director in the Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) which is headed up by Solomon Soquar. Through the SSG, UHNW clients can access products and services offered by Barclays Capital and Barclays Corporate.
